Love until it hurts, and then love more. Dennis Renaissance
4 notes

Even after you’re gone

I always see you beside me

It’s like my shadow can kiss you

but you’re already fading into the night

It’s an endless lesson life is
So let’s love more than we miss
And express it instantaneous
Cuz pain is dangerous
And desire drives you insane
So I’ve learned to cherish what came
And make the most of everyday
Cuz in the end- only you are to blame.

1 note

I’ve always wanted to fly
With my hands outstretched and empty,
And wings spread eagerly wide.
Then I discovered….
with your hands in mine,
We could fly higher than the skies….
And our feet
never have to touch the ground….

Sip your coffee,
Speak to me with warm breath,
Fogging the cold night air.
Inside this cafe,
Your eyes reflect the passing cars
And it makes me nostalgic.
My body is riveted
when you lick the coffee from your lips.
I can listen to you until the dawn
Or until they kick us out.
But we’d just walk
Until we found another empty table
Somewhere.
We don’t smoke,
But our lungs exhale
The fire from our hearts.
So we kiss with coffee tongues
Mixing mocha and cocoa
Into a moment of rushing solace
More stimulating than any caffeine.
There is no possible way
To replicate our flavor.
It is our very own coffee kiss.

Eagles peel the flesh from my heart

The raw blood spills into the clouds

Decorating the sky with my nakedness.

My eyes are cesspools of toxic love

But they produce no tears.

Instead, they gaze into a future unpromised.

It’s only after I’ve seen how I can love her

That I find myself alone in her spell.

How I wish I never kissed her ethereal lips,

And tasted the possibility of paradise.

Women- be a Lady in the streets, a freak in the sheets.
Men- be a Gentleman in the streets- in the bed: a beast. Dennis Renaissance

When everything seems to be falling apart, just remember; it’s the rain that scatters down to the ground, cleanses everything away, quenches the earth, joins the sea, and is brought back up to the clouds embracing the sunshine.

3 notes

We’ll never grow tired,

nor sink in swallowing sands

even after walking thousands of miles,

As long as we hold hands.

2 notes

A quartet of jubilant jangles,

tell me to await the time

where it all finally untangles

like an argyle bow tie.

As you descend from empty skies,

you shun the watershed

of quaking basins

where we bathe in the purest of cries.

Alas, it’s up to us now

to take the tiny statue

of hope’s mosaic smile,

and press our chests

upon stardust stitched heart tiles.
